On 30 October 2018, the Big Ben Award Committee held a press communication meeting in London to announce that Rt. Hon Mark Field MP, Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, won the the Politician of the Year 2018 Prize of Big Ben Award. Mark Field won the award for his remarkable contribution in the area of Foreign Affairs and is respected by most diplomats and carrying the good relationship among UK and other countries in Pacific and Aisa, as the BBA Committee Executives, Christian Vinante Giovannini and Crystal Leung said.

In Mark Field’s acceptance speech, he said: ‘I am delighted to receive the Big Ben Award this year and I am very excited about that. I have done a lot of travelling to the region of Pacific and Aisa.’ He mention his trip to China and the Golden Era between UK and China. He will carry on more multinational ways in the years to come and wish the more trust way beween UK and China in the Golden Era to develop the cooperation in the areas of trade, education, travel, etc.
